Privacy Policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

Livz is a personal app for keeping track of your money, subscriptions, goals, habits and travel. This policy explains what information Livz collects, why, where it is kept, who helps us process it and the choices you have.

It applies to the Livz app for iPhone and Android and to this website. In this policy, "Livz", "we" and "us" mean the team that builds and runs Livz.

The short version

  • We collect what you choose to record, your email address, and technical information that keeps the app working.
  • We do not show ads, sell your data, or track you across other apps and websites.
  • Usage analytics and crash reports never include your amounts, names, notes, goal titles or places, and you can switch them off in the app.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information that Livz needs to work, and nothing is collected until you create an account.

  • Account information. Your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our sign in provider and are never visible to us.
  • What you record. The information you type into the modules you turn on. In Money: your assets and debts, their names and values, how those values change over time and a monthly snapshot of your net worth. In Subscriptions: names, prices, billing cycles, start and trial dates, status and notes. In Goals: titles, targets, progress, dates and the reason you give. In Habits: names, icons, schedules, reminder times and the days you completed them. In Travel: trips, dates, countries, cities, spending, notes and the places you have visited or want to visit.
  • Settings. Your language, time zone, currency, theme, which modules are on and in what order, notification preferences, and which milestones and reviews you have already seen.
  • Usage analytics. Which screens you open and which features you use, recorded as event types, counts and ranges (for example, that a subscription was added and that you have between 3 and 5 of them). Our analytics provider also receives basic device and app information, such as device model, operating system, app version, an app instance identifier and an approximate country derived from your IP address.
  • Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits a serious error: a technical stack trace, device model, operating system, app version, recent technical log lines with sensitive values removed, and the random identifier of your account.

Analytics and crash reports never include your amounts, balances, prices, names, notes, goal titles, habit names, cities or countries. This is enforced in the app's code, not left to policy.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, camera, precise location, health data or advertising identifier, and Livz does not connect to your bank.

2. How we use your information

  • To run Livz: store your record, keep it in sync across your devices and show it back to you.
  • To calculate what you see, such as your net worth, subscription totals, goal pace, habit history, milestones and monthly reviews. These are calculated from your own record.
  • To send the reminders you set up.
  • To understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the app.
  • To find and fix crashes and errors.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to protect Livz and its users from abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build marketing profiles, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not use your record to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Reminders and notifications

Habit, renewal and trial reminders are scheduled on your device. Livz asks for permission to send notifications only when you first turn a reminder on. A reminder may show a habit or subscription name on your lock screen. You can turn reminders off in Livz under Settings, Notifications, or in your phone's settings.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run Livz for us, and only as far as they need it to do so:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC), for sign in (Firebase Authentication), storing and syncing your record (Cloud Firestore), usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). Google processes this data on our behalf under its data processing terms.
  • Apple and Google operate the App Store and Google Play, from which you download Livz, and deliver notifications on your device. Their own privacy policies apply to those services.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of Livz, or as part of a merger or sale of Livz, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.

6. Where your information is stored

Your record is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure through Firebase. Those servers may be located outside the country where you live, including in the United States. Where information moves between countries, it is protected by Google's data processing terms, including the standard contractual clauses where they apply.

Livz also keeps a copy on your phone so the app works offline. That copy is cleared when you sign out. Simple preferences such as your theme and language are stored on your device.

7. How long we keep it

  • Your record is kept for as long as you have a Livz account, so that your history stays complete.
  • Turning a module off does not delete anything. Its data is kept and returns when you turn the module back on.
  • When you delete an entry, it is deleted from your record.
  • When you delete your account, your account and your whole record are deleted, as described below.
  • Usage analytics and crash reports are kept by Firebase for a limited period and are then deleted automatically. They are not linked to the contents of your record.

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your Livz account and all of its data yourself, at any time, from inside the app:

  1. 1Open Livz and go to Settings.
  2. 2Choose Delete account.
  3. 3Review the list of everything that will be deleted.
  4. 4Enter your password, then type DELETE to confirm.

This permanently deletes your account, your sign in, your settings and everything you have recorded in every module. It happens immediately and cannot be undone, and we cannot recover it for you afterwards.

If you can no longer use the app, email livz.service@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm the request is yours and delete your account and data within 30 days.

Analytics and crash data that is not linked to your record may remain until Firebase deletes it automatically at the end of its retention period.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the information we hold about you, and receive a copy of it in a common, machine readable format;
  • correct it, which you can do for everything you record by editing it in the app;
  • delete it, which you can do yourself as described above;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw your consent;
  • complain to your local data protection authority, which in Georgia is the Personal Data Protection Service.

To stop usage analytics and crash reports, open Livz and go to Settings, Privacy, and turn off Usage analytics. One switch stops both.

To make any other request, email livz.service@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days, and it is always free of charge. Getting a copy of your own data is never a paid feature.

10. Security

Your information is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers, and encrypted at rest by Google Cloud. Access rules on our database let each account read and write only its own record, and the app keeps no secret keys that could open anyone else's. Signing out clears the copy kept on your device.

No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

Livz is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. This website

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site secure and running.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Livz changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

14. Contact us

If you have a question about this policy or about your information, write to us. We read every message.

Email livz.service@gmail.com

This policy is available in English, Georgian and Spanish. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
